Update -- March 5, 2009

Dear Divers, Parents, and Supporters,

March certainly came in like a lion :/  The weather has been atrocious!.  We had a nice winter until the beginning of February (hmm, that's when BJ started diving again...mebbe it's HIS fault!).  We finally had ONE decent day of weather on Wednesday, and hopefully we'll have plenny more in upcoming weeks :)

Regional Championships

We are sending a giant team of 7 (plus one guest) to Regionals.  It should be a productive and educational enterprise, and I can tell you it will be quite different that the last meet at Mission Viejo.  For one thing, there will be 2-3 times as many people in each event.  This means the dynamic will be VERY different. Also, indications are that the weather will be in the low to mid 60s, and perhaps even dropping to the 50s during the later afternoon...lucky us, the pool is heated and they have a great jacuzzi there!

See the Regionals Itinerary for our plans, and watch the results pop up after the events on www.divemeets.com.

Other Upcoming Meets

Maui Diving is hosting a meet on March 22 in Kihei, and I am planning to go over there anyway for a relaxing getaway, soooo anyone who wants to do it, let's rock! I know the Abernathys are also planning a trip over there, so we will have at least 2-3 divers in the meet...hopefully more, but I understand if finances prevent it :/

The HDA Championships will happen in May -- I'll keep you posted with details.

The Keo Nakama Invite has been set for June 27, so we can make plans for that meet as well.  It should serve as a good tune-up for the Zone Championships this summer.

ASL CORNER

Recently reinstated, as Coach Jeff's foster son, and TLDT diver  is deaf and will be a presence at many workouts and meets, this reference is here so you all can learn to communicate with our deaf community member: check out the ASL Corner,  do the lessons as you want to, ask me for help as you need.

Okies, That's all for now!

Jeff
