Tropic Lightning Diving Team Skills Trampoline Skills Competencies Checklists and Tips
Starts with Basic Jumps, followed by Basic Drops and Beginning Ropes Skills -- look over all the Skill Descriptions, and read through all the Mature Performance Indicators. Ask a friend or a relative to help you practice them so you know all the terminology and can do the positions and skills to the best of your ability...These three Checklists will comprise the major part of the tests you will have as the final task of the Diver of the Month program for February!

| Inverted Holding Position | |||||||
| a. When in the belts and upside down, diver will maintain a hollow position | |||||||
| (like the entry of a line-up) for a count of three before relaxing the position | |||||||
| b. This will be performed for a forward "dive" action and a back "dive" action | |||||||
| Half-Wrap | |||||||
| a. When asked to do an action with a press, diver will manipulate the ropes | |||||||
| so they are behind the shoulders and are held in place by holding the arms | |||||||
| narrow and overhead | |||||||
| Press While In Ropes | |||||||
| a. Diver will perform the pressing action such that the arms circle and free | |||||||
| themselves from the ropes | |||||||
| b. This will be done in a jump, a forward spinning action, and a back spinning action | |||||||
| Full Wrap | |||||||
| a. When asked to do an action with a full lift and press, diver will manipulate the | |||||||
| ropes so they are wrapped around the shoulders from behind, then over the | |||||||
| shoulders, then under the armpits and held in place by the placement of the arms. | |||||||
| b. Ropes should be high on the shoulders/upper arms, NOT down near the elbows | |||||||
| c. This will be done in a jump, a forward spinning action, and a back spinning action | |||||||
| Full Lift and Press While In Ropes | |||||||
| a. Diver will perform the full lift and press action such that the arms circle and free | |||||||
| themselves from the ropes | |||||||
| b. This will be done in a jump, a forward spinning action, and a back spinning action | |||||||
